Cellular beam is H-shaped steel or I-shaped steel web weld after cutting along the line or arc in dislocation, and then form the H-shaped steel structure components whose web have rectangle or hexagon, circular, oval and other type holes. In high-rise buildings, cellular beam and reinforced concrete floor (house) panel rewinded into cellular beam and concrete composite beam through the shear pieces, which is referred as composite cellular beam. Composite cellular beam not only have the general advantages of steel and concrete composite beams but also the pipeline can pass through the web holes which will not affect the use of space and reduce the own weight of the component. Therefore, composite cellular beam get a lot of application in (?)ent years.Cellular beam and composite cellular beam shear design mostly used the solid web beam design methods and web shear calculation often uses net cross-sectional area after opening. Orifice of cellular beam and composite cellular beam weakened after opening, and its shear performance is affected by various factors. So it can’t meet the accuracy requirement of the design according to the solid web beam design method. In order to promote a large number of applications of cellular components in our country, we should study cellular beam and composite cellular beam shear performance in depth and provide reference and basis for our country to develop appropriate design standards. In this paper, the shear performance of cellular beam and composite cellular beam was researched in depth through the combining method of experiment and finite element analysis.Four cellular beam shear performance experiment were conducted. The four cellular beam respectively opened three hole shape (hexagon, circular, rectangular) and two open rate (70%,65%). According to the experimental results, the influence law of pass, opening rate and steel beam flange to cellular beam shear performance was researched. In order to compare with cellular beam shear performance experiment, four composite cellular beam shear performance experiment were also conducted. According to the experimental results, the influence law of pass, opening rate and concrete flange to composite cellular beam shear performance was researched. Established finite element model of the typical experiment specimen and made numerical analysis by finite element analysis software ABAQUS. It carried out relevant research on shear performance influencing factors of cellular beam and composite cellular beam.Through the analysis of experiment and finite element calculation results, it found that the shear bearing capacity result of4cellular beam experiments and the solid web beam design methods is different, and shear bearing capacity of different pass and opening rate cellular beam is also different. Due to the concrete floor, shear capacity of composite cellular has a certain degree of increase compare to cellular beam. Shear bearing capacity of different pass and opening rate composite cellular beam is different, which is caused by the difference of stress concentration degree and shear secondary moment of different pass and opening rate composite cellular beam. In this paper, the cellular beam and composite cellular beam experiment and finite element calculation results was researched in depth, and a set of approximate calculation formula of cellular beam and composite cellular beam was provided on the basis of former. Then it uses experiment and finite element analysis results to verify the formula calculation accuracy.Above research results provides a theoretical basis for the shear design of cellular beams and composite cellular beam and also provides a reference for engineering applications.
