The thesis proposed a new pitch-control methods using equivalent wind speed, basing on Shanghai Zhiyuan Green Energy Limited FD21-100/12type100KW direct drive permanent magnet wind turbine.Applying iterative method with wind turbines own structure parameters and run-time parameters which can be measured, the method calculates the equivalent average wind speed on turbine rotation plane. The innovation in this method is the application of Cubic curve fitting and Van Der Mond determinant.Iterative method for an effective solution to the equivalent wind speed anemometer blocking effect due not accurately measure the wind speed issue. It also provides accurate basis to improvement of wind turbine control.GH Bladed software,which is wind industry authority aided design and verification software, is used as the simulation platform. The simulation is based on real data of100KW permanent magnet direct drive wind turbine.the method proposed in paper is programmed in external controller of software.The simulation experiments verify the effectiveness of the control algorithm. With previous studies with the comparing with previous control strategy, thesis achieves the purpose of improving of pitch control method.
