Using the limit equilibirum analysis method, the stability of the slope covered by deposits at K11+030~K11+150of Guandu-Guanduhe highway were systematically studied. And furthermore, sensitivity analysis for design parameters of anti-sliding pules such as pile space and transect size was profoundly researched. The main study includes three parts as below:(1) According to the actual geological features of the studying slope, combined with the site survey, the2-D limit equilibirum analysis model of the slope was builded using the program of SLOPE/W. Based on the geological conditions achieved from the site, the model was divided into two parts properly. Based on the laboratory experiments, the parameters of the calculation model was determined.(2) In the stability calculation of the slope covered by deposits, three methods (such as Morgenstern-Price, Janbu and Spencer) were used for evaluating safety of the slope, and furthermore, effects of material parameters of the deposits (such as unit weight, cohesive strength and internal friction angle) on the slope’s safety factor were studied. The results show that safety factor of the slope in a certain range has negative correlation with unit weight of the deposits, and it has positive correlation with cohesive strength and internal friction angle of the deposits. The probability analysis of stability of the slope shows that, the mean value of the safety factor and standard deviation are respectively0.935and0.326, and the probability that the safety factor is less than0.935is57.87%, so, the slope needs to be reinforced for construction safety reasons.(3) With the equivalent diaphragm wall hypothesis, reinforcement scheme of the slope with anti-sliding piles was studied with the limit equilibirum analysis method, and effects of material types of piles, pile space and transect size on the slope’s safety factor were also researched. The results show that, the slope was stability with the reinforcement of anti-sliding pules, and the slope’s safety factor in a certain range has evident relationship with the above mentioned parameters.
