The Heavy Truck Pass—by Acceleration Noise Control Research

When vehicles bring great convenience to as nowadays, the noise of the automobile also deeply disturbs the life, the work, and health of physical and mental of people in the same time. When the social competition becoming more and more intensive, people eagerly need a quiet environment for rest and living. As one main source of environment noise, automobile noise must be controlled strictly. Additionally, Fast living rhythm makes people more dependent on automobile and spending more time on it, witch indicates that automobile has really become another rest place, As a result,the reduction of automobile noise is more important to build a comfortable condition in the automobile.There for, the automobile noise control is very necessary.This paper is aiming at heavy truck of the s3. Firstly, this paper summarize the importance of the vehicle pass-by acceleration noise identification and control research and the status of noise control at home and abroad. This thesis research content and purpose Was proposed, the vehicle noise source identification and control Was researched, which combined specific project; Secondly, the composition and the noise mechanism of the vehicle pass-by acceleration noise was summarized, including Truck body noise, engine noise and chassis noise; Thirdly, the main sound source identification techniques of the vehicle pass-by acceleration noise were described; Fourthly, after doing pass-by acceleration noise experiment we found that noise value exceed Europe standard’s requirement, so noise source identification and noise reduction of the heavy truck were necessary. First of all, Spectrum analysis method Was applied to identify the noise source, and separated and ranked the contribution of the main assemblies of the heavy truck to the whole of accelerating noise, we concluded that the engines was the largest proportion of radiated noise, exhaust system was a certain percentage of radiated noise; Secondly, sound silent method Was applied to identify the noise source of engine and define the positions. Based on the identification of the major noise source, some economical controlling methods are made.Finally through the test, the pass-by noise of heavy truck is declined apparently. And the effect of noise control is satisfied. The pass-by noise of heavy truck is obviously decreased from84dB(A) to79.6dB(A). The noise index has declined0.4dB(A) compared with Europe statute. Through the research on this paper, a suit of applied technology and method of pass.by acceleration noise control of vehicle is built up,which also Call be extended to noise control engineering in different heavy truck.
