In order to guarantee the reliability of power supply, GIS (GeographicInformation System) is applied to the process of power line patrol inspection. Withthe help of advanced techniques, the latent danger of power lines can be discovered asearly as possible, thus reducing the unnecessary loss. This paper primarily focuses onthe problem of lack of efficiency and poor standardized level under the situation ofexcessive lines and shortage of human and vehicle resources in the power supply areaof east of Tianjin. Here GIS technique is mainly utilized to collect information includingreal transmission lines, weakness of key geographic sections and crossing phenomena.Then it determines the patrol walking time, required field inspection time andrecording time for real inspection through quantitative path data of GIS. After that,with the analysis of patrol inspection element of transmission lines in the pilot areas(including geographic position, environment and inspection emphasis), this paperadopts the method of inspection according to sections instead of lines, to reducepatrol inspection intensity as well as to increase inspection efficiency.In addtion, based on the visualization of patrol inspection lines and PDA patrolinspection, this paper revises standardized operation card for patrol inspection, setsstandardized inspection time, and makes a model for automatic distribution ofinspection plan. Finally, with historical statistics, inspection plan is transferred fromfixed inspection to state inspection gradually. Basic knowledge of the rough set theoryis introduced, and the information system of the power line patrol is established basedon the available data. Cleaning up and transforming the data, the method and theory tosimplify the decision table is given, using Bayesian algorithm based on rough settheory to simplify the decision table. Finally, the results of power line are classified.
