The new submerged floating wind turbine is novelty, whose foundation is allsubmerged into the sea, the wind turbine’s stability is maintained by the buoyancy ofwater and the tension of the chains, so the wind turbine can remain steady in the sea.As for the feature, its pitch is small, the pitch is not the governing factor at all, and thechains system become the governing factor, the design of both the chains system andthe floating foundation is inseparable. The volume, dimensions of the floatingfoundation can affect the stress situation of the chains system. How to achieve to thegoal of economic feasibility is a problem which deserves our study. At present, theresearch on the new submerged floating wind turbine is little. The research method ofthe submerged floating wind turbine in this article provides one research idea for laterstudy.The study of the new submerged floating wind turbine in this article focus on theconceptual design, consisted of stress principle, structural arrangement and so on.When studying on the new submerged floating wind turbine, the motion of the newsubmerged floating wind turbine is focused on, such as pitching and swaying. Thechains system is also studied. By means of the study on several formats, one relativelyreasonable format is selected.There are many influencing factors of the new submerged floating wind turbine.The factors of wave, current and wind are studied in the fourth chapter, the resultshows that the wind is the governing factor. By means of regulating the draft of thefloating foundation, the influence of the wave to the new submerged floating windturbine can be weakened. The influence of the current to the new submerged floatingwind turbine is insignificant.One new submerged floating wind turbine of300KW is studied in the lastchapter. The results can be used to conducte the construction of the new submergedfloating wind turbine, they can also be used to compare to the monitor dataafterwards.
