Abstract/Summary:
Base isolation, story isolation and tuned mass damper both are passive control.They use simply devices, require no external energy supply, and they can get to asignificant controlling effect. So they are widely used in civil engineering. Researchshows that, Base isolation and tuned mass damper belong to the passive control system,they essentially both are response problem of dynamic system. And theoretically theycan use the same analysis and design methods. So analysis of these three types ofstructural vibration control system should be able to learn from each other.For this reason, this article combined with existing research of parameteroptimization methods to tuned mass damper; mainly did the following two parts study:(1) It begins with the research on the amplitude frequency characteristics of controlsystem’s transfer function in two degree of freedom model. And it proposes a parameteroptimization method for base isolated structure under the principle that makesamplitude of main particle’s (main structure’s) displacement transmission rate beminimal. Based on this method, it derived optimal parameters calculation formulasunder the circumstances that only optimize displacement of no damping structure. Onthis basis, it also gets the optimal parameters calculation formulas for damping structurewhich only optimize displacement of main structure or both optimize displacement ofmain structure and isolated layer.Based on the research achievements of two degree of freedom model, this paperused the same method and derived the optimal parameters calculation formulas whichopotimize the low level vibration displacement of main structure under multiple degreesof freedom model. Then it verifies the correctness of the formulas by practicalengineering examples.(2) It begins with the research on dynamic response of mean square value in twodegree of freedom model. And it proposes a parameter optimization method for bothtuned mass damper and base isolated structure under the principle that makesdisplacement mean square value or acceleration mean square value of main particle’s(main structure’s) be minimal. Based on this method, this paper gets the optimalparameters calculation formulas for tuned mass damper and base isolated structure.Then it verifies the correctness of the formulas by practical engineering examples.
