Abstract/Summary:
The yacht industry in China is in the golden age of rapid development. Reasonabledesign of the molding process for yacht hull is of vital importance for the enterprises toimprove their competitive advantage. With the virtue of low-cost, pollution-free,suitable for the manufacturing of large-size and thin-shell components, vacuum infusionmolding process is popular in the production of yacht hull. Currently, processparameters of vacuum infusion molding process for yacht hull are mainly designed andoptimized by artificial experience and trial-and-error method in China. It makes theprocess design sinking into a distress situation which is long-periodic, high-cost andlow-reusability. The inheritance and sharing of process technology are under restrictions,which has seriously impact the development of manufacturing industry of yacht hull.After knowing about the current situation of China vacuum infusion molding process,this paper studied the key technique of this process based on related studies both athome and abroad. What’s more, in order to improve the automation and intelligencelevel of the process design, to shorten molding cycle, to decrease the cost ofmanufacture, and to enhance competitive advantage, computer aided process planningwas used in the molding process of yacht hull.By analyzing the principle of vacuum infusion molding process, and combiningwith actual productive process, this article developed thorough theoretical research onyacht hull’s vacuum infusion molding process. This article analyzed critical processparameters and common defects of the molding process and summarized the selectionprinciples of the materials needed by the molding process of the yacht hull. Furthermore,a function framework was built for the vacuum infusion molding process used for themolding of the yacht hull.Generally, the phenomenon of incompletely cured exists in the molding of the hullbecause of its large-size. To deal with this problem, this article simulates and optimizesthe gating system used for the yacht hull’s vacuum infusion molding process. Andobtained the best arrangement for the runner, through the comparison of the filling time,molding quality, cost. Based on the optimized runner, this article conducted thesimulation of the filling process of different gating space and determined the bestdistance between the gates.As to the hull, permeability is not the same in different zones because of differentlayer schemes. By analyzing the performance of common reinforced materials, thisarticle studied the approach to solve the permeability of the stream diversion cloth andthe molding body. In allusion to those defects during molding process, such as dry spot and resin assemble, this article simulated the filling process of the resin in differentlayer schemes, and acquired reasonable scheme by analyzing results of simulation.Based on the research of the technology mentioned above, a software structurecatering to the yacht hull’s vacuum infusion molding process system was built in thisarticle. And its interface technology and storage planning were analyzed. At last, asystem prototype was developed with Visual C++, and its feasibility was validated.
