The most important way of frame structure to prevent progressive collapses is thatonce the multiple-span beam’s middle pillar is damaged, the beam on the column hassufficient ductility and bypass function, to stop the frame structures progressive collapses.Beam internal forces are greatly improved.If not considering axial force to design thebuilding structure, the cost of design would increase. The same structure does not meetthe design requirements of strong column and weak beam, which is harmful to theseismic design of buildings. So,the arch effect on building structure for the structure ofthe collapse has high practical significance.This paper selects a6-story building with frame structure, by using the Ansyscomputer program, to study on the simulation model of concrete beams,considering thatthe arching effect can increase the bearing capacity of frame beam. Through thesimulation analysis, it proves the rationality of the model.By using the Ansys finite element analysis software, the five reinforced concreteframe beams’s load effect reaction mechanism is simulated and studied. When the twocross beam middle pillar loses the bearing capacity, this paper analyies the cross ultimateload, the beam crack,the plastic hinges formed, the yield of steel, and so on. Based on thetheoretical calculation, the simulation calculation and the experimental results, we cansee the correctness of theoretical formula. Thus, this dissertation provides a theoreticalbasis for frame beam for further study.This paper studies the influence factors of frame beam bearing capacity: thereinforcement ratio, the support constraint and the span to height ratio. When the rigidityof the horizontal constraint reduces, the improving coefficient of the cross ultimatebearing capacity will reduce.Through the simulation research of reinforced concrete frame beam, we know thatthe theoretical formula of the ultimate bearing capacity of frame beam is better toestimate the load beam. This formula has the practical guiding significance for theresearch of the structure collapse.
