Prestressed reinforced concrete sleeper is an important part in Chinese railwaysystem. Type-â…¢ prestressed reinforced concrete sleeper is one of the science andtechnology projects in1988by the Science and Technology Division of the RailwaysMinistry, the emergence of this type of sleeper adapted to the requirement of the presentstage of railway development. The sleeper is being manufactured by pretensioning method.In this method, owing to the influence of the fixed length difference of steel bar and thehanging plate deformation at the end of sleeper, the prestressed steel bar will occurinevitable tension uneven phenomenon, it will have an effect on the sleeper productionquality. Therefore, the study about tensioning inhomogeneity on the mechanical propertiesof the sleeper is significant effects for the practice projects.This paper researched the effects of prestressed tension uneven force on the sleeperstructure by the simulation of ANSYS on the type-â…¢ sleeper produced by Fangshanbridge factory in Beijing. First, through the tensile experiment of prestressed reinforcedsteel bars in the sleeper, the prestress on the bar have been gotten. And the reason ofinhomogeneity on prestressed reinforcement of this sleeper have been obtained by theanalysis. On the basis of the simplifications on the structural characteristics of the sleeper,the finite element model has been established.Secondly, according to the own characteristics of sleeper, the effects of sleeper stressand cracking moment raised from the reinforced tension uniform on sleeper has beendiscussed by the comparative analysis of the uneven tensioning data and tensioninguniform data gotted from the experiment.In order to study the mechanical properties of the tension uneven sleeper under trainload, the train load is simplified to static load in the first. Through comparative analysis,the difference of mechanical performance between the tension uniform sleeper and thesimulation model has been received. With uppon research, the analysis of the impact onthe tension uniformity on the sleeper structure has been researched while the train load istransformed into dynamic load by formulation.
