High-rise building structure is the most widely used structure form in the world.according to the mechanical properties of the frame structure, a simplified analysismodel was founded, the equivalent stiffness and governing equation of free vibration isderived upon which the dynamic performance of hig-hrise building is analyzed. Themain work are as follows:1. The derivation of equivalent stiffness of high-rise building structure:according tothe basic mechanical principle about force and displacement and deformationcharacteristics of high-rise building under load, the axial stiffness、shear rigidity、bending stiffness and torsion stiffness which is the basic parameters of structuredynamic performance analysis,is derived.2.The modeling of high-rise building structure and dynamic ananlysis:according tothe mechanical properties of high-rise building structure and the geometric features ofstructure components, the structure is simplified as a Timshenko beam of which themass、stiffness、cross-section is variable.: A three-dimension accordinate system isestablished to describe the displacement field or dynamic behaviors of the structuralsystem The governing equations and corresponding boundary conditions of a desiredproblem are then developed by using the principle of minimum potential energy orHamiltonian principle. The equations are ordinary differential equations which can besolved by means of computer software—ODE Solver.3.The comparison between results of this paper and results of software show thatthe methods in this paper has clear mechanical concept and with high precision. It hasguidance and reference value for preliminary design, concept design, theoritical analysisand finite element software calculation and analysis of building structure. The influenceof different stiffness and mass on the dynamic performance of high-rise buildingstructure are analyzed, the results show that, for high-rise building structure of littleheight-width ratio, the dynamic performance of structure is controled by shear rigidityand changes of bending stiffness has a little effect on it.
