Along with the development of national economy in our country, people’s standardof living has been improved, the application of domestic hot water become much moregeneral, which leads to the increasing energy consumption. So the action of reducinghot water system’s energy consumption is very significant. Air-source heat pump waterheater unit is one way that heat pump technology applying in hot water supply, whichhas advantages in energy conservation and environmental protection, safety and health.It deserves vigorous promotion and developmental research. Instantaneous heatingmode air-source heat pump water heater units progress at full speed in recent years,because of its characteristics of rapid and high efficiency. It attempts to take the place ofcyclic heating mode air-source heat pump units.In this article, long-term monitor and statistical research on water heater usingpattern of the existing instantaneous heating mode air-source heat pump water heatersystem in students’ dormitories have been conducted. The water using regular pattern ofdormitories has been analyzed, and the recommendation of designed water quota ofinstantaneous heating mode air-source heat pump water heater system in boys and girls’dormitories (Ⅲ、Ⅳ type) have been separately provided. Meanwhile, based on theexisting theoretical research, test and analysis of the heating ability and units’ energyefficiency ratio (EER) of instantaneous heating mode air-source heat pump water heatersystem under different environmental temperature have been taken. Besides, the statisticof water consumption and power consumption has been conducted, which can help tocalculate and evaluate the energy consumption index and EER of system.Take the students’ dormitories as example, this article put forward the optimizingoperation strategy of system and the selecting method of corresponding heat pump unitsand temperature preservation water tank, and establish a contrast model for economyanalysis of selection model under different designed operation time T1in the coldestmonth. The results show: the value of T1in Chongqing and Zhengzhou are20h and18h respectively, the months of optimal control model is May to October、March toNovember respectively; the effective volume of temperature preservation water tankunder the optimal control model is80%of the maximum daily consumption; there aredifference between designed operation time T1in the coldest month of different areas,and the day and night temperature difference is the key factor which leads to this result. The energy conservation and economic efficiency of air-source heat pump waterheater technology are focus which people concern. In this article, based on project data,comparison of annual CO2emissions and annual cost index between instantaneousheating mode air-source heat pump water heater plan and other water heater plan usingtraditional heat source have been processed. The results indicate that the instantaneousheating mode air-source heat pump water heater system has remarkable environmentalprotection benefit and the best economic benefit. In addition, the energy price hasenormous implications on economical efficiency of instantaneous heating modeair-source heat pump water heater system. The economic efficiency is notable in civilplaces which has lower electricity price. On the contrary, it will affect system’seconomic efficiency in commercial places which has higher electricity price. Therefore,it is necessary for relevant departments of country and regions to conduct relatedregulation, which could promote the coordination and consistency on environmentalprotection benefit and economic benefit of instantaneous heating mode air-source heatpump water heater technology, and also motivate the application and betterdevelopment of this technology under the condition of global warming.
