With the economic development and the increase in energy demand, the construction of high-voltage AC transmission lines and oil and gas pipeline increase in large-scale. Transmission lines may inevitably parallel or cross with pipeline. HVAC transmission lines Under steady state operation will result in AC corrosion on buried pipeline. In severe cases it can lead to oil and gas pipeline corrosion perforation and endanger the operation of oil and gas pipelines.Using computer software simulation method, the interference level of transmission line under steady-state operation is studied and the impact of pipeline parameters and power line parameters as the result of interference is researched. The result is that under steady-state operation of transmission line with those parameters unchanged, AC interference voltage on the buried pipeline decreases as increasing of pipe diameter, increases with increasing of anti-corrosion layer’s insulation resistivity, decreases with increasing of depth of pipe, increases with increasing of soil resistivity. Under steady-state operation of the transmission line with pipeline parameters unchanged, AC interference voltage on the buried pipeline is proportional to the current capacity of transmission lines increases with the increasing of parallel length of buried pipelines and transmission lines, increases with the decreasing of parallel spacing between transmission line and pipeline.A pipeline with AC interfere was taken for instance, analysis and evaluation of field interference investigation were executed, the simulation study was carried out and the optimal mitigation design recommendations were given. The simulation results show that using computer simulation can effectively assist mitigation design.
