With the assistance of Tianjin Jihua Ruituo New Energy Company, this paperinvestigated key issues on a new application in wind/PV(photovoltaic) hybridsystem--removable wind/PV integrated equipment(RW/PIE), including solutiondesign, optimal match design and system control. The following works have beenaccomplished.1. Considering the requirement for removability and integrability, the constructionof RW/PIE is analyzed under the fundamental construction of the presentwind/PV system as well as the design specification, which is the basic of theoverall solution design. Then,4overall solutions are proposed and the slide-foldsolution is chosen as the optimal one. Capsule and shell model are designed fordifferent environments.2. An optimal algorithm for unit size matching is presented. Mathematical modelsare built on the basis of the operation principle of wind turbine, solar cells andbattery. Assuming that the capacity of wind turbine is constant and considering tolower the costs, matching algorithm for PV array and battery capacity is proposedon the condition of meeting the requirement for power shortage to power neededratio. Then, complement the matching algorithm by changing the capacity ofwind turbine.3. Chopper circuit is used in the control of wind turbine and PV array, and theMaximum Power Point Tracking is then proposed. Combined with the functionalrequirements, hardware of wind turbine controller is built, which is on the basisof single-chip microcomputer. Furthermore, a control strategy with4workingmodel is presented, which is to select the model intelligently according to batterycharge and system input.4. The results, which have been applied in the industry, fulfilled the blank of thedomestic market in this area.
