The energy conservation of building is the hot topic now. And the buildingenergy consumption mainly comes from energy consumption through the walls.Therefore abandoning traditional walls with high energy consumption andresearching new energy saving walls is one of the effective ways of building energyconservation. In this paper, based on the respective characteristics of calciumsilicate board, polyurethane, steel and concrete, new type composite panels withgood thermal and mechanical properties in different combination form of thesematerals were proposed. And thermal insulation and fire properties of the new typecomposite panels were studied. The studies can provide basis for further researchand engineering application of the new type conposite panels.Firstly, the thermal insulation properties of the new type composite plates werestudied. Based on one dimensional stability heat transfer theory of flat wall, thermalresistance formula of the calcium silicate polyurethane sandwich plate and thebutton type concrete composite plate was deduced, specially, the thermal resistanceof non vertical parts of the button type composite board were analyzed. The finiteelement software ABAQUS was used to simulate the thermal properties. Thethermal resisitance results with changing parameters were compared with the theoryvalue, and it showed that the finite element value and thermal value were close. Sothe theory is feasible. The insulation performance of the button type concretecomposite plate was optimized by using finite element method. The heat transfertest was done to measure thermal resistance. Test results, finite element value andtheoretical value were compared, and it showed that they were colse. Based on onedimensional unsteady heat transfer theory of flat wall under harmonic temperature,the thermal inertia index, damping ratio and delay time formulas of the new type ofcomposite plate were deduced, specially the thermal inertia index of non verticalparts of the button type composite board were analyzed. Based on the calculationformula of thermal insulation, thermal insulating properties of the new compositeplates by change the some parameters were analyzed.For the fire resisting performance, thermal insulation performance under firewas studied, namely temperature field analysis. First of all, by using the green’s function method, the analytical calculation steps of temperature field were deduced.Then the finite element software ABAQUS was used to simulate fire test,temperature field of composite plate with different thickness was calculated. Andthe relation formula of limit time and thickness of sandwich plate was gived.New type composite panels can be used as fire prevention panel of steelmembers. The temperature calcultion formula of steel member with fire protectionpanel was deduced. This formula was compared with the finite element method, andthe results showed that the formula value was safer.
