Nowadays, with the rapid development of science and technology, the fight for airsupremacy becomes the key point that determines the outcome of the warring parties inthe future in the high-tech local wars. With features of small size, light weight andflexibility, air-to-air missile has become the main weapon to fight for air supremacy andair confrontation. As the executive body of the missile system, the advanced extent ofmissile rudder’s performance plays an important role on the overall performance ofair-to-air missiles. As the subject put forward special requirements on the location andthe size of the missile rudder, the thesis constructs a wire traction rudder system.However, the steel wire traction strategy increased the degree of nonlinearity of thesystem, and the steel wire will be deformed by the load torque. So in order to build ahigh-performance steel wire traction rudder system, the research of its control strategybased on its characteristics has great significance.First of all, this dissertation introduced the composition of the steel wire tractionrudder system, established the corresponding mathematical model of the various partsand used MATLAB Simulink Toolbox to build the three closed-loop control model ofthe system, and thus have a more profound understanding of the whole system. In theprocess of building simulation models, this paper briefly introduced the bipolarthree-phase six-driven approach adopted in the system, and improved the traditionalcurrent sampling methods of brushless DC motor.The next, this thesis introduced an offline identification method of the moment ofinertia based on artificial track planning method, and on this basis proposed two kindsof load torque identification strategies; one is based on the full order state observer andthe other is based on the direct differentiation method. After the identification of theload torque, we accomplished angle compensation and current compensation; the steelwire traction rudder system’s performance had significantly improved. In addition, theeffectiveness of the above control strategies is verified in the established simulationmodel.The third, taking into account the nonlinear of the steel wire traction rudder system,and the importance of the position loop in three closed-loop control system, this paperproposed the idea of replacing the position loop regulator from the traditional PIDcontroller to the intelligent controller. On an in-depth study of the fuzzy control, weanalysed the shortcomings of traditional fuzzy PD controller and introduced the fuzzyPID controller with the integral part. Then, this thesis presented the use of variableuniverse to further optimize the performance of the controller, designed a variableuniverse fuzzy controller based on function and one based on fuzzy rules, and carried out simulation.Finally, on the basis of the previous work, this paper completed design of hardwarecircuit and software algorithms of the steel wire traction rudder system control system,built an all-digital rudder controller, verified the effectiveness of bipolar three-phasesix-drive method, load torque identification and variable universe fuzzy PID controlalgorithm on the experimental platform of the steel wire traction rudder system, andtested and summarized the static and dynamic performance of the steel wire tractionrudder system.
