With the rapid development of Internet and communication technology,modern battlefield form has changed form “Platform-centric warfare” to“Network-centric warfare”. It is made of four parts: modern weapons andautomatic weapons platform, joint command and control systems, sensornetworks that spread widely throughout the battlefield and efficient logisticssupport system. The four parts need to be connected by Digital communicationnetwork to function effectively, so the ability of information-controling is one ofthe key elements of the success of modern war. In this context, the TacticalCommunication Network has achieved rapaid development in recent decades.Nowadays, the traditional Tactical Communication Network has showedshortcomings which are difficult to overcome, including poor scalability,restricted communication between nodes, unsatisfying Anti-destroying Abilityand narrow bandwidth. Therefore, it is imperative to develop new TacticalCommunication Network.In this paper, the technology of Tactical Communication Network isintroduced, a new design of Tactical Access Network is put forward, and theresource allocation algorithm is studied.Firstly, combined with the latest trends of military communications, brieflyexplain the current situation and future prospect of Tactical CommunicationNetwork. The key technologies is discussed, and the improvement of Mesh fromAd hoc is introducted in detail.Secondly, the design of the dual-layer Tactical Access Network usingwireless Mesh is put forward. The resource allocation model is discussed, and theinnovation of this plan is analysised. Thirdly, the network model is set up using Opnet, and it’s function isverified through simulation.Fourthly, the resource allocation algorithm applying to the network model isresearched, with prioritory considering of anti-destroying ability. The algorithmis firstly analysised theorethcally, and then embedded into network model. Thealgorithm’s efficiency of improving the network’s performance andAnti-destroying Ability is proved by simulation results.Finally, the content of the project and the conclusion is summarized.
