When the Submarine launched vehic le is launc hed vertically, its speeddirection and moving direction are perpendicular. Therefore the part wet with waterundergoes the force from the lateral flow and forms normal hydrodynamic force,which brings about bending movement and shearing force at the intersection surfaceof the vehicle body, and this would greatly influence the structural strength of thevehicle. This is why the load calculation is an important part of the structure designof the Submarine la unched vehic le. The so-called load calculation of theSubmarine launched vehicle in construction project is to calculate the shearingforce and bending movement of each intersection surface under the external loads.In order to study the load of one kind of Submarine launched vehicle, thispaper summarizes the conventional methods of load calculation of the Submarinelaunched vehic le. Regarding to some drawbacks of the conventional methods, thepaper established the Sub marine la unched vehic le with shell model, besides theadapter was simulated with the elastic cubes fixed on the Submarine la unc hedvehic le. Also it proves the accuracy of the model comparing with the values oftheory.Based on the dynamics simulation, this paper calculates the load and, themaximum pressure and maximum amount of compression for the adapters which allinfluenced by the stiffness of the adapters, the number of the adapters’ group aswell as the hydrodynamic force under different conditions of the Submarinelaunched vehic le. How the loads of submarine vertically launched vehicle underthe lateral flow are affected by launching conditions such as the stiffness of theadapters, the number of the adapters’ group as well as the hydrodynamic force wasstudied by analyzing the simulation result.The research of this paper could calculate the inner force load under differentlaunching conditions, which provides basis of the structure design and intensityanalysis for each part of the Submarine launched vehicle. It also provides a feasiblescheme for the intensity design of the outlet process of the vehicle.
