At the beginning of the21st century, as the uninterrupted development of the globaleconomy, it has also reach the peak period of container business,and the global containerthroughput is increasing growth. The growth has promoted the development of the containerport, and the port area and the number of loading and unloading equipment are keep increasing,these require the overall operation of port to become better. The container yard is an importantpart of the modern port logistics, and the location of the container in the yard will directly affectthe efficiency of the port of loading and unloading operations. Therefore, studying andformulating an appropriate strategy for the yard will not only reduce yard loading and unloadingtime and reduce the down box a container, but also can effectively reduce the cost of relatedequipment machinery, and enhance the speed of loading and unloading of the port and improvethe overall level of the yard at the same time.Basing on the main influencing factor of the bay and the storage space allocation, this paperestablished mathematical models to solve the problem of yard space resources allocation, whichconsider the smallest of the yard operation volume and the times of the container shiftingstowage as the objective. Firstly, we deal with the container yard. Through considering thedynamic characteristics and influencing factors of the yard allocation I establish the researchquestion. Secondly, for the purpose of balancing the operation number among the bays anddecrease the distance between the bays and quayside, and improve the overall operationalefficiency of the yard, we build a model which distribute the optimization and allocation to thecontainer bay resource. Thirdly, in order to reduce the container shift stowage ratio and improvethe handing efficiency of the device,we build the model which distribute the assignment to thelocation of the container. Finally, we use these models mentioned above and with the help oflingo software program, I calculate the optimization results. Optimizing the allocation andscheduling of yard space resource not only can reduce the number of the container shiftingstowage, but also can improve the utilization and operating efficiency of the yard.
