Honeycomb paperboard is a new environment-friendly packeging material.According to the bionics principle, people copied the hexagonal honeycomb structure ofbees in natrure and made the honeycomb paperboard. The structrue of honeycombpaperboard is a kind of sandwich plate. Honeycomb paperboard has excellentperformance, and it has been applied in many fields now. In view of the problem ofinadequate strength of honeycomb in use, a new type of honeycomb structure has beendesigned—the honeycomb paperboard with double rhombic. The methods of experimentand simulation were used to test its mechanical properties.1) Experimental study consists of two parts:(1) ZXYD-5023type electronic FCL compression machine was used for staticcompression tests on honeycomb paperboard with double rhombic. The load-displacement curves and compression deformation rules of honeycomb paperboard withdouble rhombic were obtained;(2) MPA101/L323M/GT400electric vibration test system was used to test thevibration characteristics of honeycomb paperboard with double rhombic. The vibrationtransmissibility curves of honeycomb paperboard were obtained. At the same time, theresonant frequency of compressive orderliness was measured.2) Simulation includes two parts:ANSYS13.0software was used to simulate deformation of double honeycomb withcompression loads, and the results were compared with the deformation in experiments.The experimental data were close to results of simulation. The results show:1) The honeycomb paperboard with double rhombic has excellent cushioningperformance and higher ability to resist vibration;2) Honeycomb paperboard with double rhombic can improve effective lack ofstrength of honeycomb;3) Research work and results can be used in actual production.
