The variable stroke engine combines the advantages of two and four stroke enginestogether. With a long period of theoretical exploration, the research group have put it intoexperimental validation phase. The development of the electronic control system-powercontrol module plays an important role in experiments and improving engine performance.This paper conducts the following research work. First, based on the engine simulatorand electronic control system of ECOTRONS, designs the power control module of thecontrol program on the condition of the Freescale CodeWarrior integrated developmentand plans out of the controller and test strategy. Second, through the integration of avariety of laboratory resources completes the construction of the controller developmenttest environment platform and creates ECOTRONS electronic control system and thepower control module of the test methods in parallel. Third, gets the Basic fuel injectionpulse-width MAP table based on the air intake model of mean value SI engine model.Then, adopts the PI control algorithm to realize closed loop control of the engine air-fuelratio and verify the effectiveness of the controller through experiments. The last, comparesthe two air intake schemes of the two stroke work mode and develops the control softwarefor one scheme. Comparing the injection timing control strategy, ultimately determines theinjection timing strategy based on crankshaft position signal and initially completes thecontroller two-stroke mode of development.Experiments show that the built environment and the parallel test method can quicklyand efficiently complete controller development tasks. The air intake model based onmean value engine model is accuracy and the table of fuel injection pulse width of theMAP from this model is right and effective. The PI algorithm on air-fuel ratio closed-loopcontrol can get ideal experiment result.
