With the rapid development of new technology, the sudden increase of loads, especially the incessant increase of nonlinear, impulsive and fluctuating loads, power quality problems often occur, such as harmonic, voltage sag, voltage fluctuation and flicker,unsymmetrical voltage, etc..This paper firstly introduces the definition,classification, harms, and compensating strategies of power quality problems. In various power quality problems, the research in those aspects such as harmonic, voltage deviation, frequency deviation and etc. of power quality is more than in voltage sag, voltage fluctuation and flicker.According to the requirements of precision electric meter, this article,then,respec-tively analyzes the problems during asynchronous sampling algorithm and FFT detection accuracy of the meter testing. For asynchronous sampling process, the introduction of the concept of synchronization error, by using Quasi-synchronous algorithm to reduce the impact of the synchronization error.The simulation results show that accuracy is impr-oved an order of magnitude. For the problem caused by FFT spectrum leakage, using the algorithm of the Harming window Ratio Correction Method (Interpolation Method) to compensate the gain and phase. By Simulink simulation, greatly improving of the accur-acy of multi-harmonic detection has been gotten, which already meet the requirement in the national GB/T, which is that relative error of harmonic magnitudes and phase shifts of periodic signals is less than0.1%. Finally, the algorithm achieve feasibility in DSP is also described.
