It is meaningful to take full advantage of various renewable engery such as hydropower, wind power and solar energy, forming a multi-energy complementary isolated power system, which can solve the power supply problems of areas without electricity. Compared to traditional single power sources such as small hydro, micro hydro and diesel generator, this way has a higher reliability; compared to grid extention, this way costs much less. It makes resources complementary achieves sequence complementary, which goes with the trends of the smart grid and renewable energy. The isolated power system which consists of photovoltaic, hydro generator, energy storage system(ESS) and disel generator is studied in this paper. A new control strategy of the storage system suitable for the isolated power system including photovoltaic(PV) station is presented, the PV Simulation models of the PV station, storage system are established with the software of DIgSILENT PowerFactory. The contrastive study on grid responses with and without energy storage system is studied. The grid stability when synchronizers quit with Vf-response controlled ESS is studied too. Simulation analysis results indicated that the energy storage system with new contol strategies plays an important role in keeping the normal frequncy and making the isolated system stable. |
