With the rapid development of power industry in Inner Mongolia in recent years, the Western Inner Mongolia "three horizontal and four vertical" main network structure was officially formed.500kV power grids take on the formidable task of electricity transport and optimizing the allocation of resources.500kV substations are the important part of the power grid, safe, stable and reliable operation of the equipment play a crucial role in the stability of the entire500-kilovolt power grid. Therefore, when power grids fail or appear abnormal, whether to temporary repair the fault, eliminating defects and restore normal power transmission is particularly important for the security, stability, reliable operation of the power grids.This article focuses on wireless local area network, combined with a variety of wireless network technology to complete the design networking of wireless base stations in500kV substations. Besides, the article takes advantage of MPEG-4digital video compression technology, TCP/IP network transport technology to complete the remote video of real-time, low latency, synchronized transmission to ensure the ability to transmit the audio and video information of front-end repair site in real time to remote video command to support the master station, ensure the telepresence of command staff, real-time command field personnel on-site personnel and dealing with accidents correct and reasonable.The implementation of this system solutes the problems of geographically dispersed isomerism of substation equipment and the lack of and expert technical personnel in the500kV substation effectively, achieve the long-range, high efficiency, maintenance, maintenance and management, greatly reduce the production costs, improve the economic efficiency of enterprises, and ensure a safe and stable operation of the Inner Mongolia Power Grid.
