Functional materials are those high-tech material which can finish the function conversion. This paper mainly studies and discusses the preparation of bismuth ferrite in the field of optical and magnetic properties, focus on improving its performance in light absorption and the photocatalytic degradation. In this paper, we mainly studies the improvement of optical properties of the ferrite bismuth material from two aspects:(1) Through the biological template method, using butterfly wings as bio-templates, we obtain the bismuth ferrite replicas with periodic light trapping structure;(2) Through the co-doping of zinc and manganese, and adjusting the proportion of zinc and manganese, we optimize the performance of bismuth ferrite powder in the photocatalytic degradation field, and enhance the magnetism for the magnetic separation after use.In this paper, we use sol-gel method, adsorption and sintering process, regard Paris butterfly as bio-templates, through the adjustment of precursor solution concentration and annealing rate, successfully obtain the bismuth ferrite replicas with periodic light trapping structure. And then we use X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope, grating diffraction experiment and UV-vis Spectrophotometer to analyze and characterize the experimental results. In this paper, we prepared almost pure phase Zn-Mn co-doping bismuth ferrite powder, through mixing the precursor solution with different ratio of zinc and manganese. And by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscope to observe sample structure, vibrating sample magnetometer to analyze its magnetic, fluorescence spectrophotometer and photocatalytic tests to analyze its ability of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of Congo red solution, we get the best match of the Zn-Mn co-doping bismuth ferrite powder in the field of optical properties.
