| Living system keep surviving and growing by interchange substances withcircumstance. Ion channels that located at the cell membrane play an important roleon energy conversion signal transduction, cell differentiation and regulation system.Based on the structure and function, the bionic nanopores which have goodmechanical and chemical properties are obtained. Because of its versatility and widelyavailability after surface functionalization modification, its versatility is focused on byresearchers increasingly.Research on functionalization and responses of multiple PET nanochannels havebeen summarized here. We also fabricated the controllable bio-mimetic nanochannels.Inspired by the ion nanochannels in living systems and the ferric storage ability offerritin, we innovatively prepared the mimetic ferritin based bio-mimeticnanochannels used for metal ions detection. Histidine can be modified on the conicalnanochannel, and hence changes the effective nanopore size and surface charge. Thevariations of I-V curves under certain concentrations range were induced by thestimuli, and metal ions’ concentration could be determined by the transmembraneionic current. Subsequently, metal ions were expelled in order to meet the reusabilitydemands. Therefore, we prepared the bio-mimetic nanochannels for certain metalions detection. At the next part, we fabricated the light gated nano-device bydepositing gold particles on the channels’ inner surface by sputtering method. Goldparticles decreased the effective size of nanochannel, transmembrane ionic currentdecreased as the result and rectification was changed either. As the sputtering timeexpands, the thickness of gold nanoparticles increases and blocks the nanochannelmore seriously, leading to the decrease of ionic current. At the same time, surfaceplasma resonance effect took place under the light irradiation. Surface charge andionic current were changed, the gate effect induced by light is real-time andreversible.The experimental method and experimental results of this paper have theadvantages of low detection concentration, good stability, and can be reused, whichprovide the research foundation for biomimetic materials metal ion detection andnanopore switch device. |
