Nowadays, the depleting speed of energy is accelerating year by year, thecontradiction of energy supplying and demanding is becoming more and more serious,so it is urgent to search for alternative energy. As a kind of substitute energy, toimprove the extraction efficiency of oil shale has become the important way to solvethe contradiction of energy and to promote the utilization of oil shale. In this thesis, the topics are based on improving the extraction efficiency of shaleoil from oil shale. The dry distillation condition of oil shale has been analyzedsystematically, the research results are as follows:The optimum dry distillation temperature and particles of oil shale have beendetermined. Compared and analyzed the yield of shale oil and semi coke, the resultsshowed that520℃was the optimum temperature; The effect of particles of oil shaleon the yield of shale oil have been studied, the experiment results showed that whenthe scope of oil shales particle was between0.9mm-3mm, the yield of shale oilreached the maximum. It has been confirmed that cobalt chloride and manganese sulfate can improvethe extraction efficiency of shale oil under the same temperature; The activationenergy of the original oil shale and the catalyzed oil shale have been calculated byThermogravimetric analysis technology, the conclusion was that cobalt chloride andmanganese sulfate can reduce the activation energy during the pyrolysis of the oilshale. Gas Chromatography was used to analyze the effects of catalysts on the changeof the component of shale oil, which maybe provide the theoretical direction forimproving the extraction efficiency of shale oil.A new dry distillation method—superheated steam assist dry distillation methodwas put forward. This method aimed at solving the problem that organic materialscarbonized on oil shale. The effects of superheated steam on the yield of shale oil and on the internal structure of semi coke have been studied, the results showed that thesuperheated steam could not only improve the yield of shale oil but also reduced thecoking rate.
