Blue and white porcelain is a shining pearl in the history of the development ofChinese ceramics, with its ground of tonal and pure and fresh, simple but elegantdecorative pattern, jade-like stone embellish glaze caused people’s favorite. Kangxi blueand white porcelain, with its bold, quaint, deep and remote and tonal characteristics ofjing, distinct, for other dynasty blue and white porcelain is unmatched. Kangxi has such aunique color effect of blue and white porcelain, rely mainly on the use of blue and whitecoloring material-cobalt mineral, but the quality of natural soil cobalt ore becomesscarce. So in this paper, exploration and research on represent of Kangxi cobalt bluepigment for the purpose,referring to the ancient samples of Kangxi blue and whiteporcelain,combined with advanced ceramics technologies,do the represent of Kangxicobalt blue pigment research work, in order to get a good represent Kangxi blue andwhite porcelain,and use of the modern analytic techniques to test, from the perspective ofthe chemical composition and the process condition have a discuss about the colorgeneration mechanism of cobalt blue pigment,the paper is divided into the followingthree parts:Firstly, this paper introduces the definition and origin of blue and white porcelain insimple, then focuses on the cobalt blue pigment and the color generation character ofYuan,Ming,Qing Dynasties blue and white porcelains,summarized the research status ofgeneric Kangxi blue and white porcelain,analysis and pointed out therepresent Kangxiinadequacies porcelain studies,have a clear direction of the research subject, aid thefoundation for the smooth development of the subject.Then in the summary analysis on the basis of ancient Kangxi blue and whiteporcelain, the subject under the contemporary ceramics conditions, using modernchemical raw materials instead of natural soil mine to do the research experiment abouttherepresent of Kangxi Qing cobalt blue pigment, while identifying the porcelain bodyand glaze of imitating Kangxi blue and white porcelain.Finally, combined with the basic principles of silicate physical chemistry, integrated useof X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), colorimeter (NF-333), polarized light microscopyand other modern analytical techniques to explore the blue pigment coloration affectform the chemical composition of the pigment formulation and preparation process.Research result shows that:1) Mn/Co, Fe/Co value of about4,0.3, cobalt blue pigmentcolor effect is better.2) In he synthesis of cobalt blue pigment, with the increase of Fe/Co,FeAl2O4crystals formed in the pigment, with glaze melt the FeSiO3, Fe3O4work together, make the color by the bright blue of the blue color to dark gradually;With the increase ofMn/Co, cobalt blue pigment is formed in the beige MnAl2O4,Mn0.83Al1.96Fe0.21crystals,Mn3O4and cobalt ions in the glaze melt at the same time to replace, the three worktogether, make the color of the blue color to dark bluish grey gradually by the bright bluecolor shift.
