| In this paper, the research progress of virtual reality,3D simulation, process simulation in chemical engineering process education>3D space data processing techniques and its progress at home and abroad were introduced. A virtual model of petrochemical unit based on3D engine was developed, which focus on presenting exactly the same outside appearance and internal technical process with the real unit. The typical heavy oil catalytical cracking unit (CCU) was selected as the study objective, the precise geometric model of its core area was built up by3D modeling software such as3DMAX and AUTOCAD, the technical process was established by configuration simulation software MCGS. So the process simulation and3D model was combined together to form a3D training system of CCU, which can be applied to real teaching of chemical engineering processing in colleges and new employee on board training in petrochemical enterprises. Petrochemical plant3D navigation and process simulagtion can be realized by this system, which provides a situational teaching environment for trainees without any safety risks. Since this system is based on normal PC platform, it can be applied easily to unlimited computers in computer room of enterprise and public institution. Virtual scenario training brings a new way for conventional chemical engineering process education, which enhances students’learning interest substantially. |
