China is full of rare earth, storage and production account for the the world’s first, but our ecological environment was polluted by the exploitation of rare earth resources, serious environmental problems and environmental pollution remains the important bottleneck constraint the development of China’s rare earth. Wet separation companies of rare earth generate much wastewater containing lead, barium, ammonium, sulfate, chloride and radioactive waste materials, if waste water without proper treatment, it will pollute the environment seriously.In this study, the author collected literatures and did field research, combined with laboratory experiments analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry techniques to analyze characteristics of the rare earth pollution wet separation craft to determine its major pollutants and distribution of lead, and study the barium discharge limits of rare earth industrial wastewater and wastewater pollution control technology of rare earth wet decomposition craft.Studies have shown that:Different rare earth wet separation craft have quite different characteristics, in rare earth wet separation craft., It can reduce emissions of ammonia nitrogen in waste water by not use ammonium bicarbonate precipitation in the craft, and then can the solve ammonia pollution problems in source; The main water pollutants are Ba, Pb, NH3-N, F, etc.The main shape of lead is lead carbonate in rare earth concentrate in MianNing, the amount of lead carbonate concentrate obtained is0.76to0.82%when the separation craft did not take the lead; the amount of lead carbonate concentrate obtained is0.16to0.21%when the separation craft has taken the lead, most of the heavy metals lead in concentrates can enter the acid leaching slag, lead slag, iron and thorium slag; the amount of lead in acid leaching residue is0.105-0.19%, thorium slag iron content of0.15-0.17%of lead, lead oxide content of lead slag6.50-6.79%. Rarely lead into the wastewater, and it can discharge after treated.The secondary emission concentration standard limits of barium can be set to5mg/L in industrial wastewater discharge standards; Based on the characteristics of the rare earth wet water pollution in decomposition craft. And combined with source reduction, process control, and the end of the processing techniques, it is possible to propose a wastewater pollution control technology for rare earth wet separation craft.
