Nowadays, the commercial catalysts widely used in our country for detrification aremainly imported. Along with the increasing of the air pollution, to meet the stringentregulation, developing and applying flue gas denitrification catalyst of our ownintellectual property is of great significance. A series of V2O5/hematite (V/H) catalystswere prepared by impregnation of goethite with NH4VO3solution, and used in theselective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO with NH3. The catalysts were characterizedby XRD, TEM, BET-SSA, H2-TPR and NH3-TPD. The effect of V2O5loading andcalcination temperature on the SCR activity was investigated. The NO conversion of3%V/H catalysts annealed at300oC exceeded95%between250oC and300oC.Neither H2O nor SO2(0.01%) had any adverse impact on the activity, but a decreaseof SCR activity was observed after high concentrations (0.03and0.05%) of SO2were introduced. Cutting off the SO2supply resulted in activity restoration. Thesimultaneous addition of5%H2O and300ppm SO2led to a synergistic poisoningeffect, but the activity was recovered when these gases was switched off. That may bethe result of adsorption of SO2on the surface of the catalyst. V/NH catalysts annealedat different temperatures showed catalytic activity, and the NO conversion of productannealed at300oC exceeded80%at300-400oC. Comparing the performance ofcatalysts prepared by different methods, it was fond out that, V/NH catalyst had thelower react temperature, in a word, the better catalytic activity.
