| With the compound material widely used in all fields, people put forward higher requirementsfor the quality of it, so the quality assurance of processing NOMEX honeycomb core, which is mostwidely used in the compound material, is particularly prominent。However the condition of toolsaffects the machining accuracy of NOMEX honeycomb core directly, and validates whether thequality of product are meeting design requirements. Hence it’s very important to put forward toolscondition monitoring system. At present, there is no such a system for NOMEX honeycomb coreultrasonic machining method, owing to it started rather late, and the tool detection equipment isextremely expensive at home and abroad, in addition, this detection method isn’t suitable for toolbreakage detection of circular cutter in NOMEX honeycomb core ultrasonic machining. This paperpresents an online detection system, which can detect the tool breakage in the machining process.According to the characteristics of the tool breakage in NOMEX honeycomb core ultrasonicmachining, and basing on the computer digital image technology, I designed the image detectionsystem, had a further research on hardware and image detection algorithm, and programmed thesoftware, which achieved the basic functions of this system, and met the requirements of real timeof the system.This paper is divided into six sections: the first chapter introduces the research background andsignificance of the paper, tool detection method, research status, and analysis of the developmenttrend of the future. The second chapter introduces the design of the system, put forward the designplan of the detection system with the actual situation of NOMEX honeycomb core ultrasonicmachining, and describe the mainly function of this system. The third chapter introduces theconstructional process of hardware, elaborate the hardware composition and the selection. Thefourth chapter researched the algorithm of image detection system, studied on the algorithm ofimage filtering and edge extraction according to the system requirement, and absorb and statisticscharacteristic signal. The fifth chapter introduces the design and implementation of software, andexperiments were carried out to verify it. The sixth chapter summarizes the work, also put forwardan improved direction, which is the breakthrough point for further research.There is strong guiding significance for the online detection system for milling cutter breakagein NOMEX honeycomb core ultrasonic machining, which is presented in the paper, it can improveproduction efficiency, save the labor cost, also have the advantage to automatic processing inNOMEX honeycomb core ultrasonic machining; and add another way to online detection. |
