With the rapid development of modern industry, traffic, transportation and urbanization, the number of various machinery equipment and transport vehicles increases dramatically. The city environmental pollution which is mainly caused by the traffic noise is becoming more and more serious. Traffic noise is the main noise source of those large and medium-sized cities and the surrounding areas, so it has extremely important practical significance to predict and control the city traffic noise.Firstly, based on the deep analysis of the internal and overseas current correlative information, the article explained the main sources of the city traffic noise, and made a detailed statement of the research progress of domestic and international traffic noise prediction models. By the energy superposition principle, the thesis theoretically established the intersection traffic noise prediction model. Then, Huangcun Avenue and Zhongshan Road intersection, Gaopu Road and Ruanjian Road intersection, Kaida Road and Kaitai Road intersection which allowed vehicles to turn right and the intersection of Yunnan First Road and Nanxiang Second Road which was closed to vehicles when the red light was on were selected as the research projects, and the article predicted the noise of every monitoring site using the measured data of the relative parameters, then analyzed the cause of errors through comparing the predicted values with the measured.Analysis showed that the intersection traffic noise prediction model was applicative to the intersections in Guangzhou due to the margin of error of2dB(A), so the thesis provided a firm foundation to noise prediction and control. The causes of errors had the following several aspects:(1) The measure couldn’t ensure the simultaneity of vehicle flowrate and noise monitoring because of manpower shortage.(2) There were some unusual conditions which influenced the accuracy including higher wind speed, more passers-by, travel of the watering cart and dumper, vehicle horns etc.(3) It was complicated to count the vehicle flowrate of nine categories, and the measred values may differ from the actual because of real-time of cars’ velocity and acceleration.Finally, according to the latest research progress of environmental noise pollution control, methods and measures were proposed for the intersections. |
