Microwave chemistry is a cross disciplinary science that application of microwavetechnology in the field of chemistry. Microwave directly effect on several chemicalreactions or change in chemical systems are known in the traditional sense ofmicrowave chemistry. Microwave chemistry is a subject that can improve chemicalproduction rate mainly making use of microwave irradiation accelerated chemicalreaction. A great many of organic reactions can be carried out in shorter time, higheryields or milder conditions under microwave irradiation. It can even set off somereactions, which can not be carried out under traditional conditions. In this dissertation, the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds derivatives occurred under microwaveirradiation and their applications in organic synthesis haven been studied. The wholework is mainly composed of following four parts:In part one, the recent progresses on the synthesis of heterocyclic compoundsunder microwave irradiation conditions home and abroad, the significance and bases ofthe selection of the subject, the original points and the research techniques have beenreviewed. In part two, an efficient approach for the synthesis of indeno [1,2,3-de][1,8]naphthyridine derivatives via four-component domino reaction of o-phthalaldehyde,malononitrile and enaminone under microwave irradiation in DMF has been established. The advantages of this method include high efficiency, mild reaction conditions andconvenient operations. In part three, an efficient domino approach for the synthesis of pyrano[4,3,2-ij]isoquinoline derivatives via four-component domino reaction of glutaraldehyde, malononitrile and various types of1,3-dicarbonyl compound under microwaveirradiation in ethanol has been established. The method has the advantages of highyields, high efficiency, mild reaction conditions, onvenient operations and so on.In part four, a novel series of highly functionalized benzo[de][1,8]naphthyridinederivatives has been synthesized under microwave irradiation conditions. Particularly valuable features of this method include high yields of products, broad substrates scopeand straightforward procedure. The structures of the products were identified by IR, NMR and HRMS.Furthermore, the structures of some products were confirmed by X-ray diffractionanalysis. And a possible reaction mechanism of the reaction has also been was asloproposed.
