As a rapid and sensitive analytical technique, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) has attracted more and more concern in the detection of trace harmful substances in food. Based on silver nanoparticles and amino-modified glycidyl methacrylate-ethylene dimethacrylate (GMA-EDMA) powdered porous material, several kinds of trace harmful substances were developed for SERS detection in this paper.Ag colloid was prepared to get the SERS of phosmet, phorate and thiophanate-methyl, they could be detected by SERS in low concentrations of0.05,0.005and0.02mg/L respectively. The lowest detecton concentration of enrofloxacin and ciprofloxacin based on Ag colloid could reach0.05and0.5mg/L respectively. When mixing the three pesticides (phosmet, phorate and thiophanate-methyl) or the two veterinary drugs (enrofloxacin and ciprofloxacin) in the low concentrations, their characteristic peaks could still be identified from the SERS spectrum of mixture. When detecting malachite green with silver colloid as SERS substrate, the concentration could be as low as0.001mg/LAmino-modified GMA-EDMA powdered porous material as substrate material could improve SERS signal significantly. Dimethoate, isocarbophos and ciprofloxacin could only be detected at100,7and0.5mg/L based on normal silver colloid substrate respectively, while their lowest detectable concentration could reach0.5,0.14and0.05mg/L based on silver decorated of amino-modified GMA-EDMA powdered porous material substrate respectively. When mixing both pesticides (dimethoate and isocarbophos) in the low concentrations, their characteristic peaks could still be identified from the SERS spectrum of mixture.Enrofloxacin in chicken muscles was successfully detected at a concentration of0.01mg/kg by SERS using silver decorated of amino-modified GMA-EDMA powdered porous material substrate. Besides this method was more sensitive and rapid than high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Therefore this detection method was meaningful in practical sample detection.
