| As one of the largest lakes in Anhui province, Wabuhu Lake is the water source ofresidents.,besides this, Wabuhu and Chaohu are two important lakes which constitutethe water delivery line. For this reason, the water quality safety of Wabubu issignificance to residents’ health, and heavy metal pollution become a big problem towater quality safety. But Until now, the condition of heavy metal pollution in WabuhuLake is not investigated by any researchers, any we don’t have any datas aboutWabuhu heavy metal pollution, so research on heavy metal pollution of soil andsediment in Wabuhu is very useful to Wabuhu environmental protection work.First of all, analyze the characteristics of heavy metals content in soils andsediments. Then use the multivariate correlation analysis method to analyze the sourceof heavy metal pollution in Wabuhu. And the methods of Pollution Index, geoaccumulation index,Potential Ecological Risk Were selected to evaluate the heavymetal pollution of soil and sediment in Wabuhu. The main conclusions are as follows:Each content of eight heavy metal elements in soils can meet the Grade II criteriaof national soil environmental quality standard. But compared with soil backgroundvalue, the content of elements Cd, Hg, Pb, Zn surpass the Souxian background value,Also each content of five heavy metals elements in sediments can meet the Grade IIcriteria of national soil environmental quality standard. Compared with backgroundvalue, the content of elements Cr, Pb, as in sediment is higher than the backgroundvalue. Each two contents of heavy metals except Hg-other in soils show significantpositive correlation and that means these elements have the same source ofpollutants. It also means the source of element Hg is different from the other sevenelements. Each two contents of heavy metal elements in sediments show significant positivecorrelation and that means these elements have the same source of pollutant. And thecontents of corresponding elements except Pb-Pb in soils and sediments showsignificant positive correlation. The results show that Asã€Crã€Cuã€Zn in soils andsediments are similar and may come from the same source of pollutant; Pb in soilsand sediments may have different pollutant.Method of Pollution Index indicates that soils and sediments in Wabuhu are not polluted by heavy metals.method of geo accumulation index shows that soils inWabuhu is slightly polluted by element Hg,and sediments in Wabuhu is slightlypolluted by elements Zn and Pb.Method of Potential Ecological Risk shows thatpotential ecological risk of element Hg in soils meet the high level, and comprehensivepotential ecological risk meet the moderate level. potential ecological risk of eachelements in sediments meet the low level, and Comprehensive potential ecological riskindex RI is small, and Comprehensive potential ecological risk is very low. |
