Longwall mining along the strike has accounted for about70%of the coalproduction in the country,which is the most widely used of the coal mining methods.It is important for mine safety to study the law of the accidents of Longwall miningalong the strike and master the control measures.Firstly, the comprehensive analysis of longwall mining along the strike ismade, then according to the degree of danger, different types of accidents areanalysised by various types of further detailed analysis methods. Based on an analysisof different objects, select the appropriate analysis method.In this paper, a variety of system safety analysis methods, such as PreliminaryHazard Analysis,Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Fishbone Diagram Analysis,Fault Tree Analysis and so on, are used. Fault Tree Analysis is used most in thispaper to make the analysis comprehensive, in-depth and strongly logical byobtaining of minimal cut set,minimal radius set,and structural importance. Throughthe system safety analysis, the weak links and the cause of the accident of longwallmining along the strike can be understanded and the reasonable, economic,practical control measures can be adopted to prevent the accidents.
