With the globalization of sports promotion and the attention to sports physical quality, thesports requirements of clothing comfort are also increasing. Pressure comfort has become aresearch focus in recent years to judge clothing wearing comfort. No matter what kind ofsports, female breast will be shocked. If the movement amplitude is too large, the breastconnective tissue will hurt, which will lead to breast sagging and even other breast diseases.For a high intensity sport as basketball, sports bra plays a more important role, whichembodies in the maximization of pressure comfort and minimization of muscle damage andfriction resistance. For now the research about clothing pressure comfort of basketball specialsports bra was rare. Only overall considering factors such as physical, psychological,physiological and neural physiological influence on comfort of sports bra can be moreobjective and reasonable to do research of women’s basketball sports bra.From the perspective of human ergonomics and physiology, this paper creatively studiedpressure comfort developed by women’s wearing different sizes of basketball sports brasduring different basketball actions by means of heart rate variability, which was accepted to bethe best physiological indexes of judging autonomic nervous system. Combining the clothingpressure test, physiological indexes measurement and subjective scoring method, the effectson physiological indexes caused by clothing pressure of different parts on female body fromthe shoulder to the under bust line were analyzed and the comfort zone of physiologicalindexes while women wearing basketball sports bras was verified by using BP neural network.First of all, research actuality of clothing pressure comfort and the influence caused byclothing pressure on human physiology were described.The research significance of clothingpressure comfort with index of heart rate variability was summarized. The physiological theoryand analysis method of heart rate variability were analyzed and the physiological indexes forfollowing test were screened. In the experiment, sports bras with different sizes were applied asexperimental samples while thirty-four female students were employed as subjects. The pressuredistribution of11test points on the upper body was measured by the Tekscan Flexi Force201type piezoresistive sensor from USA and the MFF series more thin film pressure test system. The physiological data was collected by the Polar RS800CX heart rate monitor from Finland and thesubjective scoring of the samples was conducted by subjects. The factors affecting the value ofsports bra clothing pressure in different basketball movements and statistical subjective scoringsof each test point were analyzed, which generated the subjective pressure comfort sequence.Combined with subjective and objective evaluation, the pressure comfort threshold of basketballsports bra was determined.The data of heart rate and HRV indexes was analyzed by factor analysis to find theprincipal component factors, which could comprehensively represent the whole physiologicalindexes, and test points strongly related to them. Then the mathematical models of therelationship between the clothing pressure and the indexes were established and the changes ofthe indexes under the increasing pressure were evaluated. Finally the most relatedmathematical models between the clothing pressure and the indexes were concluded and thecomfort threshold of physiological indexes of basketball sports bra was determined throughthe models. Based on BP neural network the comfortable threshold prediction model ofphysiological indexes of basketball sports bras was established to verify above conclusions.There was a practical research value which provided physiological indexes data referencefor designing women’s basketball sports bra from the angle of theory. When developing thesports bra, fabric content, structure and process parameters could be rationally set to controlthe physiological indexes to reach the comfortable scope of this paper, so as to design thecomfortable seamless women’s basketball sports bra which was more accorded with humanergonomics and physiology. The conclusions could provide some design guidance andinspection technology for women’s basketball sports bra production enterprises.
