With the increasing demand for new materials and the vigorous development of plastic industry, it urgently requires an efficient and multifunctional integration experimental instrument with processing and molding for the plastic processing and testing, But there is not an experimental equipment can achieve multiple functions including detection of rheological properties of polymer under vibration field and the plastic phase morphology with sample molding at the same time around the world until now, most instruments focus on single function to test the rheological characteristics of polymer melts, do not involve the effect of high frequency vibration on the rheological behavior of polymer and the function of sample molding directly and online testing. The integration plastics tester with vibration processing and sample molding can realize the research on the phase transition process and rheological characteristics detection of various fluid and polymer melt in the continuous steady-state and dynamic vibration mode. This facility has the advantages of easy to program control, high flexibility and high precision, which make it have great technical advantages and extensive application prospect in the plastic processing field.Through the control system of the tester, a superimposed vibration field including the combined effects of vibration and shear was obtained by superimposing the high-amplitude vibration with low-frequency on the low-amplitude vibration with high-frequency to control the piston motion. It was applied to the plasticization of two kinds of starch samples to get two thermoplastic starches. The starch plasticization under different vibration frequencieswas detected online with the utilization of continuous steady state measurement of testing machine. The effect of vibration frequencies on starch plasticization was characterized by recording the plasticizing time in different experimental conditions. The rheological property of thermoplastic starch (TPS) melt was measured with the utilization of continuous rheological measurement of testing machine. The response pattern of rheological properties of taro and wheat thermoplastic starch melts in the superposed vibration field was obtained. The results showed the plasticization of different types of starch was promoted to some extent by applying the superposed vibration. The influence extent of superposed vibration was mainly related to the vibration frequency and starch type. This tester was used for the rheology testing of Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) in this experiment, and the test conditions could be divided into no vibration and after vibration with different frequences(1.6Hz,6.5Hz, lOHz, and12.2Hz). Through the experiments and comparison of the two results, we found that the vibration accelerated the process of shearing thinning, and the higher the frequency of vibration, the greater the impact. Through the mixing experiment, we found that vibration field could promote the particles dispersion in LDPE.
