The3D tubular carbon fiber fabric composite has many advantages such as light weight, superior tensile strength, fatigue resistance, etc. If its advantages are brought into targeted play, the availability of composite parts will be greatly optimized. Therefore, the studies on the mechanism of reducing friction and wear during the process of weaving3D tubular carbon fiber fabric and put forward the feasible optimization scheme have a far-reaching significance for mass production. There are three major tasks of this paper. First, find the reason of friction and wear for carbon fiber caused by loom parts during weaving process, and the factors which determine the degree of friction and wear. Second, classify the parts that might cause the friction and wear for carbon fiber, and design test plans according to different friction and wear types. At last, analyze and summarize the test results, and put forward proposal of optimizing the loom parts. The followings are major attributions of this paper:1. There are two types of friction statuses during the weaving process on3D the tubular carbon loom, they are rolling friction and sliding friction. In order to study them, some testing plans were made up for testing the friction and wear on carbon fibers.2. A combined testing method of friction test and tensile test was put forward. In the friction test, worn carbon fiber samples were got first, and intuitive comparison was made under the help of microscope first. Then by using universal strength testing machine, the tensile strength of carbon fiber were got, and comparison of the fiber before and after wear were made.3. Orthogonal experiment designing method was applied to sliding friction test:while ensuring the science of the test, workload can be reduced greatly, significant difference under different friction conditions can be achieved clearly.4. At last, some feasible optimization schemes to the3D tubular carbon fiber fabric weaving machine were put forward, which would be a guidance for mass production of new3D tubular carbon fiber composites.
