In this thesis, copolymer (GO-g-PNIPAM) was prepared by graphene oxide (GO) and poly(N-isoropylacrylamide)(PNIPAM) via atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) and click chemistry. The experiment could be divided into two parts:The first part was preparing the GO-g-PNIPAM via ATRP. Firstly, GO initiator was prepared and then using NIPAM as monomer in DMF/H2O solvent with CuBr/Me6TREN as catalytic system at50℃to synthesis copolymer GO-g-PNIPAM. The second part was prepared the GO-g-PNIAPM via ATRP and click chemistry. Firstly, alkynylated GO was prepared. Then azided PNIPAM was prepared via ATRP. And the copolymer GO-g-PNIPAM was prepared by the combination of the alkynylated GO and azided PNIPAM via click chemistry. The properties of the two kinds of copolymer were studied. The results were found as follows:(1) The catalytic system and the order of the mixing of raw materials directly affected the polymerization when prepared GO-g-PNIPAM via ATRP.(2) The lower critical solution temperature(LCST) values of GO-g-PNIPAM was33℃.(3) The content of the PNIPAM polymer grafted on the surface of GO was about40%.
