The function of loop is to give a constant tension between two rolling mills in the process of rolling, to form a buffer area which could guarantee the continuity and control the speed of the rolling.1700ASP of Ansteel Hot Strip Mill which is designed to produce2million tons a year is reformed from the old2#rolling mill. The construction of1700ASP started in July1999and it had its first product in December2000. After years of reforming,1700ASP could produce2.9million tons a year.Through the study of the current situation and prospect of the electric loop of1700ASP, in consideration of the practical situation of the production, I reformed the electric loop into a hydraulic loop and built a mathematical model, simulated and analyzed the response and stability of the system by using Matlab/Simulink.
