The side drawing caving mining method has been widely used, but the high lossand dilution is still its prominent problem. The situation of mixing mullocks in thismethod is extremely complex in that during the mining process, ore is released in thewaste package, with the mixture of mullocks from the top, the front and the side. Theloss and dilution of side drawing method poses an international difficulty in miningindustry.Because the interfusion of mullocks results in ore dilution, the flow of mullocksshould be studied. However, previous studies put so much emphasis on the oredrawing body shape, structure parameters, drawing management that the problem ofore loss and dilution still not get good settlement.This thesis is study of the sub task “mullocks movement” of the research on“controlling the fluidity of ores to improve the sublevel caving effect technology” ofthe Anshan Iron and Steel Group Mineral Cooperation Gongchangling MineralCompany.Through analysis of the characterirticcs of the flow of ores in side drawing, therecovery rate of ore and ore mining loss and dilution, this thesis carries out physicalsimulation experiment on the mullrocks movement. In the experiment, a newphenomenon is found, namely rock segment adjacent can form striped-shaped mixture.Based on this, a further research is carried out. Conclusions are as follows:1、The traditional ore drawing research is carried out in horizontal layer, but inthe caving lozenge arrangement approach, the upper segment mullocks form aSectorial shape and makes the cover rock layer arched. The drawing of the lowersegment is carried out under this arched cover, which has a big influence on thedrawing. There are no in-depth researches with regard to this topic;2、Ore drawing under arched covering layer. Because the waste at foot of thearch is lower that that of the top, mullocks at the upper segment adjacent approach canmix into ore earlier than top mullocks, quickening loss and dilution. 3、The mullocks in side drawing method mainly consist of four parts: that fromthe top, two sides, and the front. Under the existing structure parameters of cavingmethod, the earliest mixed waste rock appears in the front, then side and finally thetop.This paper has made the following innovations:1、The drawing mine of arched cover rocks are studied;2、It is found in the experiment that rock segment adjacent can form striped-shaped mixture, which can accelerate the ore loss and dilution.This paper is a qualitative study; quantitative analysis is still in need for furtherstudy.
