| Because of the low thermal expansion coefficient and better highvolume stability, Aluminium titanate as a new kind of high temperaturestructure ceramic materials was widely used in Color industry and Chemicalindustry, etc. In order to reduce the costs of synthesis of aluminum titanatematerial, in this paper, slags of scrap aluminum and titanium which fromferroalloy factory were used to prepare Aluminium titanate material. And theeffects of different species (Magnesia, Magnesium aluminum spinel, Chromeoxide, Chrome ore concentrate, Zirconia and Zircon) and percentage ofmineralizer at different temperatures(1400℃,1450℃and1500℃) onthe composition, structure and performance of aluminum titanate materialwere studied.X-ray was used to analysis the phase composition of syntheticmaterial and through the calculation of main crystal lattice constant toanalysis the form and the quantity of defects. Through the calculation ofthermal decomposition rate of synthetic materials to analysis the thermalstability. SEM was used to observe the microstructure. And through the bulkdensity and show porosity of samples with different calcining temperature toanalysis the sintering performance of materials indirectly. The results showas follow: To increase the sintering temperature can increase the thermalstability of aluminium titanate material; The additives can form solid solutionwith aluminum titanate, and the solid solution can inhibit the decompositionof aluminium titanate, so the content of aluminium titanate was increased andthe stability of the material was improved,especially adding zircon samples at1500℃decomposition rate. |
