Cavity is an important part of the continuous extrusion machine, it has contact with extrusion wheel, billet and mold, temperature distribution is under complex conditions which directly affects the production efficiency and the quality of the products. In order to maintain the body from damage, while the metal billet in cavity has good extension, a heating method keep the preheating temperature becomes necessary. So the main task of the subject is researching heat methods of cavity. TLJ630extrusion wheel has a wide diameter, which can produce large width of products, moreover, the temperature demand is higher. Compare the TLJ630cavity and the TLJ400cavity heating situation, design feasible heating solutions. This article mainly introduced the cavity heating method and the composition of the system. Firstly, turn360V power grid voltage to3.5V by using low voltage high current transformer. Secondly, using thermocouple and dynamic signal system gather the temperature feedback, rendering the temperature curve through the computer. Finally, under the action of SCR (silicon controlled rectifier) rectifier module control heating power and input voltage. Heating systems can adjust output power by different cavity shape size and keep the temperature uniformity. This heating method is simple in equipment, save space, suitable for the continuous extrusion machine under the condition of heating chamber. Finally, by using the ANSYS finite element simulation program in electrical-thermal coupling function theory verifies the theoretical results, the loading process consider the influence factors of thermal radiation and convection heat transfer. After getting the temperature field distribution and comparative analysis, verify the rationality of the improved heating system.
