Composite materials have been widely applied in various engineering with several decades. The domestic and foreign has did extensive research. Meanwhile, the research is rarely in the long-time performance of fiber reinforced plastics. It is impossible to design fiber reinforced plastics when have no data of long-time performance according to the concept of design and design standard. This paper launched the relevant experimental study and theoretical analysis around the long-term performance of composites under different stress level and temperature condition, designed to provide a reliable theoretical basis for the design and using for composite materials and ensure composite engineering structures safe and reliable under the condition of long-term service.This paper analyzed the study of the theory of the long-term performance of resin matrix composites based on existing research results at home and abroad. Paper mainly introduced the creep characteristics of composite materials characteristic and the constitutive relations of viscoelastic from the perspective of viscoelastic theory. Paper introduced the analysis of the equivalence principle in the way of viscoelastic and the time-temperature shift factor According to the free volume theory. Transformed the existing theory model, the paper applied the theory of creep damage model. Paper established the forecast method of the retained strength under different conditions of stress and temperature for the composite materials.In the study of long-term performance of composite materials, this paper completed a large number of experiments for the retained strength of composite materials under different stress level. Under the guidance of the theoretical analysis, paper got the original strength of the composite materials and the reserve strength of composite materials under different stress level through concrete experiment scheme. Combined with the theoretical model of long-term performance of the composite materials, got the retained strength theoretical forecast method under different-stress level for the composites by the analysis of the experimental data.Paper studied the initial performance of the composite in different temperature conditions, got the relationship between the original strength of the composites and the temperature through concrete experiment scheme. Combined with the existing research results, paper got the forecast method of the retained strength of composites under different stress level and temperature. Considering the stress, temperature and time variety of long-term performance influence factor, paper provided a more accurate forecast theory for the long-term performance of composites.
