This paper presents the design of a new logging system, the entire logging system is divided into two parts, and the hole in the hole. The holes in the system of data acquisition and the hole outside the data transmission system is divided into two separate hierarchy. The communication between the data acquisition layer and the data transmission layer part of CAN bus is introduced. This hierarchy of the data acquisition layer expanded into possible time downhole probe can be completed at the same time a number of trajectory, natural gamma, resistivity logging task. The shielded cable long-distance communication anti-jamming capability at the same time to ensure the reliability of the communication; serial communication protocol data transport layer with the introduction of the PC host communications section.The main characteristics of the system:reasonable structure, convenient assembly and maintenance; Safety explosion-proof, has the characteristics of low power consumption; achieve in two ways logging cable and non-cable; Design of CAN bus application layer protocol, implements multiple pipe work, improve the real-time performance and stability of data transmission; Write the PC software and realize the human-computer interaction.Through the mine field and lab test, this system is suitable for downhole comprehensive, complex coupling medium hole detection, especially suitable for upward hole, dry hole measurement. The test results show that the system we design is stable, reliable, flexible expansion and has good practical value, can be well positioned to meet the needs of coal mining enterprises, is worth to promote the use of coal mining enterprises. We expect to be able to make some contribution to the development of China’s Coal logging system and the comprehensive development and utilization of coal through the development and application of the logging system.The paper first discusses the background and significance of the logging system andsome knowledge of logging principle; then introduced this logging system architecture, made the highlights on the probe control nodes and the primary domain controller of the host computer hardware architecture. And introduces the software design scheme of this system; then introduces the hardware design of the system, mainly introduces the survey agent tube control node of master control board and the upper machine realization of each function module; then the logging system software related, focusing on the probe on software control node module. At the same time, introduced the CAN bus and serial port communication protocol in this system, the application and implementation; final test of the system functions in the actual conduct of the mine site, system debugging process as well as the direction of future work efforts.
