The laying installation for deep-water umbilical is an essential device for laying offshoreoil pipelines. With the rapid development of oil industry in our country, the application of thelaying installation for deep-water umbilical is more and more popular. The research of thisfield is only a little, so we should study this field deeply. This project derives from thedemonstration project of the development of deep water oil and gas of South Sea of Chinacalled national science and technology major projects of large oil and gas fields and coal bedmethane development.The manufacture of this equipment is very important for making thelaying installation for deep-water umbilical national and improving the automatic level oflaying deep-water pipelines.When the laying installation for deep-water umbilical is working, it needs hydraulicsystem to provide the quite big enough and stable clamping force. The driving system drivesthe tracks for umbilical transmission and recovery and it requires the driving system to haveenough torque in safety and reliability.The tension control system needs to adopt reasonablecontrol method in order to ensure constant laying tension for the umbilical that the system canmake rapid response.Hydraulic system uses the double supply pump system that low pressure pump is used toadjust implement track system quickly and high pressure pump is used to implement thecaterpillar stable clamping force in order to achieve the stable and fast and reliable goal andhigh pressure accumulator is used to hold hydraulic cylinder pressure.The AMEsim softwareis used to adjust track position and clamp system for the simulation analysis in order to testthe hydraulic system working performance.The driving program is the most stable and ideal variable frequency speed controlelectric traction system.This system has many characteristics such as great speed range,highprecision,low starting current,easy installation,convenient debugging and maintenance,easy to realize process automation. It can satisfy the motor torque and speed requirements ofthe laying device for deep-water umbilical through the calculation by selecting an appropriatemotor and a frequency converter.The whole control system uses the most stable programmable logic controller andensures the reliability by using the industrial internet to reduce the line connection. This control system takes full account of the job requirements of the device which adopts PIDclosed-loop control to set reasonable PID parameters in order to ensure constant tension laid.It Determines the parameter of PID controller by setting up the mathematics model for eachcontrol link and constructs the transfer function of each link by using MATLAB.It is certain that the scheme to solve the laying device application for deep-waterumbilical has certain practical significance through the design and research of parts of thelaying device for deep-water umbilical. However, it needs constantly summarize and improvea whole set of solutions when meets new problems in actual.
