IPMC (Ion-exchange Polymer Metal Composite) belonging to Electroactive Polymers,it’s generally made from a perfluorinated ion exchange membrane on which a metal isdeposited, its advantages include: low energy consumption, fast response speeds, light weightand flexible. The electrode material of high-performance IPMC is gold or platinum,itspreparation cost high, Ag-IPMC preparation costs low,but its performance is poor. Therefore,by studying the preparation process, post-processing process and multilayer IPMC to improvethe performance of Ag-IPMC.Firstly, this paper studied the preparation method of Ag-IPMC. After in-depth analysis oflocal and international background research on IPMC and improved the preparation, putforward a low-cost preparation method of Ag-IPMC.Secordly, this paper studied the post-processing pocess.By study ionic liquid infiltrationprocess, make the ionic liquid by a special process to replace the original IPMC internalwarter as solvent, to effectively improve the Ag-IPMC life in the air.Through the research ofsilver antioxidant packaging process, the Ag-IPMC electrode surface to form a dense layer ofprotective film, effectively inhibit the oxidation of electrode surface,and to improve theservice life of the Ag-IPMC.Thirdly, to confirm hypothesis a test platform was created using a laser displacementsensor, a force measuring sensors, a resistivity tester and a low output driver that wasconnected to varying IPMC materials. By selecting reasonable output signal units, detailedoutput force measurements were recorded. The relationship between the input signals and theoutput force was then generated from the experimental data and processed.Finally, this paper design and production of the multilayer IPMC, through the study of itsperformance, and to establish a theoretical model of the multilayer IPMC. By experimentaltest, the multilayer IPMC with larger output force. And based on the multilayer IPMC designand production of microgripper, through the experiments verify the multilayer IPMC ingripper on the feasibility of the aplication.
