In recent ten years, because of volatile organic compounds in the soil in areassurrounding the cities is widespread, the public health and the environment there isvery big threat. All kinds of storage tank leakage, the organic waste solvent of unfairtreatment, pharmaceutical factory, directly result in soil contaminated by volatileorganic compounds. At the same time, the atmosphere, groundwater and the migrationof VOCs in wastewater on soil pollution. Because of volatile organic compounds inthe soil residual concentration is low, therefore, need to have a simple and accurateand efficient detection method to detect volatile organic compounds in the soil.Volatile organic compounds in the soil testing consists of pre-treatment andinstrument test two parts, because of the heilongjiang province is a big agriculturalprovince, the security problem of the soil directly affects the health food andvegetables, if the soil contaminated by volatile organic compounds of indirect willproduce serious harm to human body, thus attracting widespread attention.This research adopts the static headspace gas chromatography mass spectrometrytechnology in Harbin area surrounding common27kinds of volatile organiccompounds in the soil was determined. Established the effective pretreatment method,through the parallel experiment to choose the best instrument conditions as well as thecalculation of detection limit range19.40~30.14μg/L, and15pieces of Harbin fourcounties surrounding the soil samples were determined, positive samples testprecision RSD is less than10%, and using standard soil is analyzed with the result ofthe experiment verification, the experimental results and the real value standarddeviation less than10%, for the future analysis of volatile organic compounds in thesoil test to provide the reference and basis.
